Any vehicle, much less an off-road vehicle, must have a reliable and sturdy suspension system. It can improve how well your car handles rocky terrain without harming it. We are therefore delighted to present the Icon suspension system made to fit the Tacoma models.

The 2005-current Toyota Tacoma’s ICON Stage 3 EXP suspension system offers better on and off-road performance, front and rear-end lifts, and the ability to handle up to 33″ tires. The 2.5 EXP series coilover shocks, sway bar relocation brackets, rear add-a-leaf, and our tried-and-true 2.0 Aluminum Series nitrogen-charged monotube shocks for the rear are all included in this system.

This Stage 3 system uses Tacoma EXP Series front shock absorbers, which combine high performance with the simplicity and financial advantages of using Tacoma’s factory coil spring and other parts. These shock absorbers have a 2.5-inch diameter and are fully rebuildable. EXP provides 0 to 2 inches of suspension elevation, custom-tuned performance, and the longest possible travel in a cost-effective package, bridging the gap between spacer lifts and threaded-bodied coilovers.

The supplied sway bar relocation brackets provide sway bar clearance from the EXP coilovers and reduce sway bar link bind throughout the suspension travel range. This makes it possible for the suspension to move more freely and to accommodate the complete range of wheel movement without placing undue stress on any OE parts.

The Toyota Tacoma will perform better overall thanks to the included ICON billet aluminum upper control arm kit, which will correct the front-end geometry, increase on-vehicle camber and caster adjustability, and improve clearance for suspension parts. Additionally allowing for complete bump and droop motion of the front suspension while removing bind is replacing the OE ball joint with the functional ICON Delta Joint.

By reducing the rear spring rate in comparison to stock, the rear leaf spring Add-a-Leaf kit enhances ride quality. This 3-leaf spring replaces the OE overload leaf during installation, doing away with the OE overload’s rapid ramp up in spring rate. This results in better off-road and on-road suspension performance as well as a 1.5″ raise in the truck’s rear above stock.

Rear shocks from the V.S. 2.0 Aluminum Series with remote reservoirs, made specifically for the 2005–present Tacoma, complete the Stage 3 EXP suspension system. The 2.0 Aluminum Series shocks are a premium improvement for the weekend warrior and daily street motorist seeking better on and off-road performance. They give your Tacoma balanced front-to-rear vehicle control and a fantastic driving experience when combined with the ICON 2.5 EXP Series front coilovers.

Upper Control Arm 

Whenever you are changing your vehicle’s geometry and upgrading it with a suspension kit, especially on 4WD vehicles, you absolutely need an upper control arm. The UCA is there to correct alignment and inherent clearance issues that arise when you lift or modify the suspension of your 4WD. Upper control arms can be found on independent front suspension (IFS) vehicles and they connect the top of the spindle to the frame.

The UCA is not a load-bearing piece of an IFS suspension, however, it does serve the purpose of guiding your spindle in a pre-determined motion when your suspension cycles up or down. Said load is handled by the lower control arm, which connects to the lower portion of the spindle.
